With reference to Sir William Peel's despatch
in 33850/34 No.259 of 23rd April, 1935, I have the honour to forward
copies of three Resolutions regarding Loan Works which
were passed by the Legislative Council on 16th May, 1935,
and to request your approval for the financial adjustments
involved.

2. The first Resolution amends the Schedule of
the Hong Kong Dollar Loan Ordinance No.11 of 1934, and
the second and third Resolutions are in respect of excess
expenditure during the financial year 1934. The
circumstances connected with these Resolutions are
explained in the speech of the Colonial Treasurer, copy
of which is enclosed.
3. The increase from $3,400,000 to $3,864,943
under item 7 of the first Resolution is more fully
explained in the enclosed copy of a minute by the
Colonial Treasurer.
